Getting involved though evangelism
Would you like to be enabled to share your faith with others?
Outreach UK can train and support you to do so.
Do you have a passion to tell others about Jesus? Would you like to join a band of like-minded workers?
Outreach UK Associate Evangelists work in conjunction with their local church or churches to spread the good news about Jesus.
Evangelists may reach out in a number of different ways. Door by door is an excellent means to reach people, develop relations and share Jesus. Book tables or open air preaching is another method. Some evangelists distribute the Good News paper. How about using a church coffee morning or toddler group as a means of making connections?
Our evangelists are also used to equip others for everyday evangelism. This can be done by having others alongside you as you evangelise. Or through using our Casting Your Nets evangelism training programme.
If evangelists are located close enough together, they may join in together for outreach and fellowship.
Our evangelists commit to at least twelve hours of evangelism each month.
Each evangelist has a mentor for prayer, support, encouragement and companionship. And each evangelist must be commended by their home church.
And we ask that each evangelist, alongside promoting Jesus, promote the work of OUK, to encourage prayer and finance to support our mission.
Oh… and we pray together!
